Three parts. You need a 70% on each. First-time takers passed Business and Finance only 56% of the time in 2025 (Pearson VUE), and it's 120 questions in 6.5 hours. Open book doesn't mean easy.
Why I Built This
I built the prep I wish I'd had.
Here's the thing. The Florida GC exam isn't testing how good a contractor you are. It's testing whether you studied the right material and can find it fast under a clock. When I started studying, I found two kinds of prep: expensive classroom courses with dated websites, or scattered free advice that left out the parts that actually matter. I'm building Florida Contractor Prep so you don't have to choose between those.
Honest about what's hard, clear about what matters, and priced so it's not a gamble.
The prices
Most prep is overpriced
My Business and Finance course is $197 and ships January 31, 2027, and the reference book set is $499. A lot of prep is classroom-first, with websites built decades ago. You shouldn't have to gamble a lot of money on prep.
